Eligible Own Funds in the Dutch insurance market 2023
Eligible Own Funds (used for calculation of the Solvency ratio) for the sample are EUR 59 billion (99% market coverage based on EIOPA figures). As can be observed from the chart below the distribution of own funds across the market is wider than the total assets.
Solvency ratio of Dutch insurance market 2016 – 2023
The majority of Dutch insurers reported a Solvency ratio of between 100% to 300%, the bulk falling into the 100% to 200% bracket. A similar distribution occured in 2022.
