The 2024 Wüstenrot Versicherungsgruppe SFCR shows the group’s continued use of tier 2 capital to support its eligible own fund to meet the SCR.

The Wüstenrot Versicherungsgruppe solvency ratio dropped from 345% in 2023 to 334% in 2024. In both years the main driver of the ratio change was an increase in the SCR.

In 2022 the group’s SCR ratio peaked at 362%, which was driven by a large decrease in the SCR. The previous year’s ratio increase was driven by growth in the eligible own funds.
Most of the group’s SCR is driven by market risk (see below).

The reduction in market risk between 2021 to 2022 appears to be one of the main drivers behind the drop in overall SCR, which led to the 2022 solvency ratio spike.
