Commission in and out
In July Solvency II Wire published an exclusive (and first) interview with Klaus Wiedner, the new Head of the Insurance and Pensions Unit at the European Commission. In addition, the outgoing head, Karel Van Hulle, reflected on Solvency II in a two part interview published in August. Long-Term Guarantees continue to dominate the trilogues. Following last year’s extremely successful LTG Symposium and Look-Through Symposium this year’s Nordic LTG Symposium, published in June, brings a fresh perspective, and some interesting historical anecdotes, on the development of risk-based regulation in Denmark, Finland and Sweden.XBRL
