Bavaria Reinsurance Malta Limited, the Malta based insurer, Solvency and Financial Condition Reports (SFCR) published for the years 2016 – 2023 show a range of solvency ratios between 192% (2022) to 395% (2017). In 2023 the company’s solvency capital ratio was 249%.
Most of the Bavaria Reinsurance Malta Limited eligible own funds to meet the SCR comprise tier 1 unrestricted capital. However, over the years it has also reported tier 3 capital accounting for between 1% to 3% of total eligible capital to meet the SCR.
