Market Coverage Chart

This article describes the parts of the Market Coverage chart.

The Market Coverage chart shows the available data on Solvency II Wire Data relative to official market figures provided by EIOPA and national supervisors (NCAs).

The EIOPA and NCA data are published at different times and use a slightly diffrent method for counting companies as well as group and solo data. As a result, figures may differ between the two.

If official figures are not available the previous year’s data is used by default.

Market Coverage Chart Layout

1. Chart Title
   Indicates which metrics are used and the source and year of the official data.
2. Chart details
   For each country and
   Hover over the chart to view figures.
3. Year
4. Value
   Metric for creating the chart.
5. Type
   Group / solo
6. Figures
   Source of official statistics
7. Display
   Show coverage by percentage or absolute values.
8. Create chart
9. Reset chart
10. Country detail
    Clicking on each bar displays the list of entities, their status and key metrics.
11. Record status
    Select All, Published or Unpublished (records for which data has not been collected).
