New online publication to showcase expert analysis on risk

LONDON/EDINBURGH 3 August 2015 – Solvency II Wire, a leading independent publication dedicated to Solvency II, and the Scottish Financial Risk Academy (SFRA), an industry-academic partnership dedicated to improving the understanding of financial risk, today announce the launch of OnRisk Dialogues – a collaborative publication based on content from the SFRA Risk Colloquia.

OnRisk Dialogues will showcase analysis and insight from the world’s leading experts on risk, regulation and financial services. The new initiative will publish articles by speakers from the SFRA’s Risk Colloquia, and will be available on both Solvency II Wire and the SFRA websites.

Gideon Benari, Editor, Solvency II Wire, said: “OnRisk Dialogues brings a new type of content to our readers, examining some of the broader issues that inform our work on Solvency II.

Working together with the SFRA further establishes the position and importance of Solvency II Wire as a leading resource and thought leader in the sphere of Solvency II and financial services regulation in general.”

Professor Alexander J. McNeil, Director, SFRA, said: “The Scottish Financial Risk Academy is delighted to partner with Solvency II Wire to launch OnRisk Dialogues. For SFRA, this is an exciting opportunity to bring some of the content of the biannual Colloquia in Edinburgh to the attention of the wider risk management community.”

The SFRA Risk Colloquia are a series of mini-conferences offering analysis of topical issues in financial risk. They have broad appeal to professionals from a range of sectors of financial services, including banking, insurance and fund management, as well as academic researchers.

The SFRA launched the series in 2010. The colloquia feature world-class speakers from industry, academia and regulation and cover topics including Solvency II, regulation, behavioural finance and stress testing.
